Cherry Kisses Thumbprint Cookie
Prep: 15 minutes + 15 minutes chill
Cook: 10 – 12 minutes
Makes: 12 – 16 cookies
1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1/4 cup white sugar
1 large egg yolk
2 ¼ tbsp Black Cherry Dark Balsamic
1 cup all purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
12 – 16 Kisses chocolates
Preheat oven to 350°.
With a hand mixer, beat butter until light and fluffy, slowly adding sugar, egg yolk, and Black Cherry Dark Balsamic, until well blended. Add flour and salt, and mix until combined
Cover dough and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Roll dough into 2 inches balls (2 tbsp. of dough), then roll in sugar to dust lightly.
Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Flatten cookies slightly with palm.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
Cool cookies for 5 minutes, then press a Kisses chocolate into the center of each cookie. Enjoy!
