Favuzzi: Pasta Sauce - Sicilian

This Sicilian-style sauce is a thick blend of crushed yellow and red bell peppers and tomatoes, complemented with chopped onion and eggplant. Its flavour is reminiscent of both ratatouille and caponata. This hearty puttanesca-style tomato sauce contains pine nuts as well as capers and green olive pieces, giving it a flavour and fragrance that recall a blend of mustard, black pepper and lemon.

Ingredients: 

Tomato pulp and Cherry tomato puree 69% (Italy), Red and yellow peppers, Onion, Eggplant, Extra virgin olive oil, Garlic, Sea salt, Parsley, Oregano, Pepper, Acidifier: citric acid.
